The last 6 cars we have had were all sold by me to buyers on my own. Additionally, each was sold to the first person to look at the car. Here is what I do, not rocket science:
-Wash and wax car
-Vacuum and clean interior
-Have all service records available in a folder
-Excel spreadsheet of service history
I have placed ads in local papers, local want-ads/autotrader, and on online marque specific clubs - all with the same success. I do make sure that the price I offer is fair to the potential buyer BUT also at the max for a private seller according to KBB.com and the local market. It seems like Saabs do not hold their value particularly well (this is my first Saab). I noticed a co-worker, who was not a "car person" was tring to sell her 9-3 Convertible for way too much and did not get even a nibble.
So, clean it up, prepare the history, set a fair price and place an add. If you don't get any responses in a week or two, re-look at your asking price.
