Hello-
I'm looking into buying a used Saab. And reading what people have posted is making me more excited about getting one. (I've got my eye on a 92 9000). But there's one thing I'm trying to figure out -- much of the praise that I've heard and read about owning a Saab has come from how great they are to drive (that I do know) and how they can run forever, but that praise has been offset by people saying that Saabs are "really expensive" to maintain, fix, etc.
I live in the city and am not going to be able to make Saab-tinkering a hobby as many seem to have done. But I guess I'm looking for straight talk about what that "really expensive" might mean to people.
Perhaps a Saab is something that I'll have to wait for until I'm much more settled in my career. I hope not, but I'd like to know. Barring a complete lemon -- what do people think about how expensive it is to own a Saab? And what does that really mean? I'm willing to take a chance, but not willing to be buried...
I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!
