Our real estate broker hooked us up wih an inspection company that was so good, we asked for the same guy when we finally got the house we're currently living in... She could've done better on the mortgage broker, but we've refinanced twice since the initial loan due to falling rates.. We went from 8% in 1996 to 6.5 to 5.125% fixed now.

But, I hear you on licensed businesses... we donated one of our Saabs to some charity service and it ended up getting re-claimed by a mechanic as abandoned... that whole industry is a bit strange, not to change the subject...

As for dealers... I've met some typical used car salesmen and I've also met some who donate their time answering every lttle question on bulletin boards and chat rooms too - but they drive Saabs as well as sell them - at least these two that I'm thinking of do.
