I don't understand this kind of behavior. You're telling us that you baby your viggen and prep her for the next owner to enjoy her pure power. As Dean said, driving techniques and maintenance are where it's all about. Lot of my friends drive much more performant cars than mine ('97 NG900SE) and they too autocross them but I'll buy their cars without a second thought. The people that build the Viggen want you to autocross it. The way I look at it, we're taxed like slaves and everybody stretches their hands for my money so I might as well spend it on "fun" action such as burning rubber on the track, going through brake pads as fast as biscuits and bashing as much metal as I possibly can. Now my wife/family won't agree with all that but testosterone (sp?) is king ...
Bob, a WRX is an absolute blast. Buy one from a good/mature driver with or without maintenance records. Make sure you drop it by a specialized shop and pay them well to go over everything. I'm pretty sure you'll love it.
In 2 years I'll need a second car in time for a 9-2X.
