I hit a dog tonite ;-( Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 27 Jul 2004 21:42:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was driving on a local highway and the poor thing just darted out in front of me. I slammed on my brakes but there was no way that I could stop. There was no where to swerve either, it was either the dog or the trees on either side of the road. It went right underneath my front spoiler and came out at the rear of the car. I pulled over as soon as I could (it was a highway don't forget) and we looked for the dog, but we think it ran away. My friend said it looked like a spaniel. You have no idea how awful it felt hitting it. I really really really hope its ok and that it goes home to its family who can help it. As for the 9000, the front spoiler is disconnected from the bumper, the right foglight doen't work, the large cover underneath the car that covers the radiator, etc. is torn, broken off in places and is dragging. Also, the intercooler looks like its a little bent and coolant is leaking from somewhere.
Folks, please keep your dogs and cats inside at night. I feel so terible for the family of this dog, who may wake up in the morning to find out that they lost their friend. Don't let something tragic like this happen to you. And give your pet an extra treat tonite.
