I have searched around for some info re what the overall inventory level of Saabs is (in terms of number of days sales), but have found zero information. The fact that they basically moved the incentives up in mid July, instead of waiting until August, tells you something re how many cars they must have to sell. In prior years, I recall someone posting on TSN that at the very end of the model year the incentives on the 9-5s were as high as $8,000. Another problem in assessing inventory level is that the most recent issue of Nines did not contain any data/charts on Saab's level of sales YTD. So, this is essentially a bit of a guessing game re how long one can wait before pulling the trigger on the purchase of a new Saab.
