Ended up asking Al at ABJ for a recommendation

He & his guys know my car better than anyone. I prefer to work with them whenever possible. ABJ fixed the broken headlight and reset the misaligned fender (which was the invisible damage that nobody had realized until Al went to open the passenger door and found that it wouldn't open), but since all it needed otherwise was a repaint, he was going to send it out to a place they work with frequently. I don't know who though. There are at least four body shops in the immediate area, all of which appear to be really busy all the time. The last I talked to Al, I don't think they had made arrangements with anyone yet.
The fender problem was a surprise. It was totally undetectable by sight. So, in the end, the only new part is the headlight lens, and the only major work was the realigning of the front fender. The rest is just paint & cosmetic stuff. If this were major bodywork, I would have indeed gone around to various places--including Stadium, thanks to all for the recommendation--and gotten estimates and so on. But for something like this I was actually very pleased that I could do it all through ABJ. I might have the car back by Monday. I'm really anxious to see how it looks.
Settling up with my neighbor is an entirely different and unfortunate situation. Long story short, it's an ethical dilemma. She wants to pay rather than go through insurance, fine. But she is a housecleaner, her husband is a pizza deliveryman, they have three kids, they barely speak English. It's her fault she hit my car, but it's in no way her fault that a) my car costs a lot to fix and b) I'm vain enough about it to feel that a top-notch professional job is the only acceptable option. I have no idea what she was hoping for but I'd guess that these people don't have an extra thousand dollars lying around. (I don't either; whatever "extra" money I had is now in the form of struts and ball joints under the Volvo.) I've been really concerned about this. :(
