I drove my 9-3 through Eastern Europe last year

Prague is one of my favorite cities in Europe. The architecture is particularly beautiful at sunset. The Prazsky Hrad (Prague Castle) up on the hill was a bit of a disappointment up close, but the Karluv Most (Charles Bridge) and Vaclavske Namesti (Wenceslas Square) are amazing. Like everyone else said, the food and beer are great. Don't be afraid to experiment...you can't go wrong.
The official currency is the Czech Crown, but most touristy shops will take Euros and even US Dollars sometimes (at a crappy exchange rate, but it's still cheap). VISA is widely accepted and ATMs can be found, too.
I had no problem with crime, but I also had my 50-pound dog with me. Traffic can be a nightmare, but if you're on foot it's pretty easy to navigate (with the castle looming over you at all times). Get a good map and start walking. Sign-up for one of the "Walking Tours". There's so much history. Might be a little rainy this time of year, so be prepared.
Have a fun & safe trip!!
