I'm curious. The "B.C." you wrote of about Alpental made me thing British Columbia...but then I realized my bad...you mean back country...got it.

The Sawtooths are in Idaho (There's also a small set of ridge line in Calfornia's Central Sierra called the Sawtooths...but generally, Idaho comes to mind when you mention the Sawtooths.)

Beartooth Pass goes between Red Lodge and Cook City Montana...and eventually into the "Silver Gate" of Yellowstone N.P. One of the best drives around...and closed in winter (dang).

Have fun skiing. I'm in Bozeman but I don't have any huge hook-ups for you all when it comes to ski prices. I'll be hitting Bridger and Big Sky. Looking forward to it.
