Thanks for the info! So Beartooth is closed for the winter... I wish they keep them roads open. If Yellowstone was open (not just one gate - I think it was eiter East or North...) than Jackson Hole to Big Sky drive can be done a lot shorter...
(also if beartooth and sawtooth are different places, than I must have been confused. I hear Sawtooth is good place to hike. Now I'm interested in Beartooth too.)
Anyway, no hook up for the ticket is fine, but will you share some of your local knowledge? "The ledge" is the reason why I'm trying to get to Bridger. Is all the goodies found on "the ledge" findable for visitors? Please keep in mind that we probably got a one day to ride that resort (I got a lot of place to go on this trip), so I don't want to waste time looking around...
Also Big Sky doesn't have "real" backcounty is there? Ones I know is just above the resort within the "boundary" accessible by the tram... heck if it's a huge powder day, I can just lap the tram, but if we got there couple days after the dump, than I like to get the untracked... Also, I miss that old colorful gondolas... Why did they replaced with new ones? Was it because old gondie's door can be opened easily from the inside in the air? (yeah that was scary as hell...)
