Bear Tooth... I think I heard of Saw Tooth.... I could be wrong. But either way, yes. Bear/Saw Tooth Pass has great riding. Just hiking up that seems pretty difficult. Is there a road up that thing? Or maybe it's a closed service road and local with 4x4 is the only one doing that...
I will check it out. Me and my friend rather hike than pay for the lift ticket.
If that no OB rules is from years back, it might have changed. I noticed a lot of resorts are now opening it in the limited bases. If you ask me, I think when they control it, it increase the liability to them. If the patrol did some ski cuts and blast some slopes and open the gate and it slides, than seems like the resort gets sued rather than blaming the poacher... BUT I do think it's great that they do kindda patrol. We don't want out of bounds that is above the resort to slide.
If you want to ride Alpental B.C. (which is where Warren Miller filmed it) let me know. I slave myself M-F in Seattle, but I will be riding all weekend long :)
