Correct, the 91 is not badged either SE or SPG. The only reason I mentioned it is because 91 SPGs, as we call them colloquially, are technically SEs, not SPGs, and might be advertised for sale as SEs not as SPGs. In fact if you look at the saabnet classifieds you will see that some people call them SPGs and some people call them SEs.
Similarly, in the USA the 91 and 92 Aeros were Aeros, but technically were called 9000 Turbos, not Aeros, until the 93-1/2 CSE-based Aero. It's potentially confusing for someone shopping for cars. He might say, this guy is offering an Aero (or SPG); this other guy is offering a 9000T (or SE); what's the difference? No difference.
I have a 91 SE, and of course I refer to it as an SPG. But I would call it an SE if I were advertising it for sale.
