....nothing is made here anymore. Well, 'nothing' is a bit exagerated, but most of our critical manufacturing has been shipped overseas, specifically nowadays, to China. Used to be that having such a large debt/balance of payment deficit wasn't such a bad thing - as long as we still had the ability to produce things. Soon, if the present rate of decline persists, there'll be nothing here left to protect or defend - maybe that's why so many military bases here have closed. I guess it's more important to protect 'our interests' in Iraq than it is here.
