to USD, the relative prices haven't changed so there is no advantage to the US exporters with a weak dollar. As I mentioned before, China has its currency pecked to the USD so if USD is lower, so is RMB.
Another thing is our large oil import, when oil prices go up, everything that needs it goes up accordingly, so we have to raise our prices to compensate and whatever products we produce get more expensive in both absolute and relative terms.
Also whatever raw materials we import (i.e. things we no longer produce or not economical to produce) to make US goods will go up with a weak dollar. Hence the gain we have for export with a weak dollar is negated accordingly.
The question is what is the net econmic gain if any with a weak or strong dollar. If I use your example, farmers might export more, but there could no real gain as farmers have to spend more to get fuel, chemical, fertilizers (chemical and oil by products) to produce.
