Saab has the anti-whiplash 'active' headrests (or at least the recent ones do), which support the back of your head.
I really doubt the Volvo seats are designed to recline in the event of a rear-end crash - first, if there is a subsequent front-end impact, you'd submarine under the belts. Second - there would still be the whiplash of your head.
And third - what does this mean for the people in the rear seat when the front seat drives their lower legs into the floor?
