It sounds like you are getting hosed by your repair shop or dealer. Labor is pricey but here are the main parts costs (from eEuroparts):
A/C compressor $572 (labor should be 2-3 hours max)
Valve cover gasket $15 (labor is about .5 to 1 hour)
Alternator (rebuilt) $284 (add a voltage regulator for $72) (labor--1 to 1.5 hours)
Trans mount: $63 to $73 (labor maybe 2-3 hours?)
All of the parts total under a grand, but some other parts were likely included in the repairs (like a serp belt and pulleys when they did the A/C. Still getting to $4K for this work is out of line.
You bought a used car and although these repairs came kind of early, you won't likely have to think about them again. Saabs need to be maintained more aggressively than some other cars but pay you back with a long life, safety, practicality and fun. Bear with it, it'll be worth it over time, unless you have a car that simply wasn't a "good one."
IMHO, though, you need to find a different shop unless there is work done that you don't mention.
