The 9000 is not seen as a 'performance' car bu most people in the US, so a touring-type tire would be ok here. I agree the 900/9-3 has a soft suspension for a sport sedan (can't comment on the Viggen - not familiar with the ride), but again, we don't usually think of it as high performance, not with FWD and around 200hp. Many people got rid of the 16-inch wheels soon after purchase (I bought an almost un-used second set of Viking rims pretty cheap for that reason)
Wondering what type of tire you consider "acceptable" with a stock rim/suspension? (Replacing tires with a higher perf summer tire is one thing, new rims/struts/sway bars etc. may be more than most who buy Saabs are willing to do for improved handling.)
