What makes the Saab stick-shift "feel/texture"?

I've driven a few different 5spd cars, and I think by far that Saab 5spd has the best stick-shift "feel". I wonder what makes that.
So far, I've driven '90 Saab 9000 Turbo, '91 Nissan Sentra SE 5spd, '94 Geo Prizm LSI 5spd, '95 Subaru Legacy 5spd, '01 Saab 9-3 5spd, '03 Subaru Outback. The Saabs have that "very light & straight-shot" feel of shifting. The Nissan & Subarus feel the same with a kind of "mushy" feel. The Geo had a close feel to Saab than to the Subaru.
I've never driven any other European 5spd (VW, Audi, BMW, etc) or American 5spd (Ford, Ponti, etc) or Japanese 5spd (Acura/Honda, Mitsubishi, etc) to compare to Saab. Is there any other cars that have a similar shifter feel of Saab's out there? (Actually, maybe a Ford Focus hatch 5spd a little bit, if I recall correctly when I drove my father-in-law's for 5min a long time ago.)
Anyway, just wondering...
