I second Nate's input on umich. I'm a '97 and '98 grad in Civil/Water Resources. The aerospace and ME are top notch programs. I took a couple fluids classes in those departments and was impressed.
Like Nate said, the engineering campus is either a bus ride or drive and walk. Not as much of an issue for an upper classman since you won't be switching between campuses much for classes, other than not interacting as much with the main campus. The buses run very frequently, are free, and are easy to grab. There are quite a few places to live between north and central campuses also.
If you're interested in a masters, they may still have the program where you can double count 3 of your undergrad classes, so that you only need 7 classes and no thesis for a masters. That option worked great for me...I was able to get mine in a year. I think you may need a 3.5 gpa though? They've restructured their curriculum since I was there, so I'm not sure if it's still an option.
It's a great city...small town feel with everything imaginable for activities and events.
Plus, if you're any kind of football fan, how can you go wrong?
Good luck!
Sam
