Didn't want to intrude on the DVD recorder link below.
Over the weekend, my second Sony DVD player quit functioning. Both hummm and buzz when you put a DVD in, and then display "NO DVD".
The first one was older, say 5-6 years, but the one that failed over the weekend was only about two years old, didn't have heavy use, and was one of the nicer, progressive scan units that I had hooked up to my home theater.
Should I just start buying the $65 Phillips machines at Wal Mart, or should I step up to something nicer? The Denon receiver I have hooked up to the Jamo surround speakers have been great, the Sony (x2) DVD players have been a huge disappointment.
Is asking two years out of a player unrealistic? Thanks, Erik
