I've got a big ol' Nashua stove in the basement with a blower and ductwork to get it upstairs. None of the ones I've seen (admittedly limited) are in the basement. They don't seem to put out the heat that my stove does, but I like the idea of being able to load the hopper and forget about them for a while. Firewood is no longer cheap and I gave up cutting my own years ago. I considered pellets a couple of times but...
It's great you have a good source for the pellets. For a while here you could get them from any number of sources, but the neighbors are complaining that their choices are now limited. The guy down the road has a friend with a ramp truck pickup and deliver several pallets full at a time. He and another neighbor have the stoves piped out the sidewall instead of up the chimney. They are big and unsightly protrusions and both have a smoke stain running up the siding.
regards
Peter
