Unfavorable test drive.. 9-5

I was thinking of getting something a bit larger than my current 9-3. It is a small car and gets cramped for long travel. So, I go to the Saab dealer and take a look at a used CPO 9-5 w/ 30k miles. I drove the manual trans model just for kicks, but would prefer an auto in a 9-5. What a disappointment. I cant believe that Saab is trying to punch a hole in the euro market with offerings like this. I always though of Saab as a "drivers" car. This thing is anything but. What is up with the spring loaded clutch that gives zero driver feedback while it kicks your leg up prematurely? Another attrocity is the Deli mustard colored wood burl dash. Who at Saab gave the OK on this? Charcoal and Mustard go together as good as pink and brown. Did they deliberately make the interior as ugly as possible? On a good note, I did drive a 9-5 aero that has the Cherry colored wood, and that was appealing.
Im just disappointed that Saab keeps complaining of poor sales when the obvious hasnt been adressed. You cant charge a premium if your interior looks like a 8 year old chose the colors.
