I dont think so...
I driven alot of different clutches in my time..
Taurus SHO (old and newly replaced clutch)
Toyota Pickups x 2
Ford F-150
Porsche 928
Volkswagon Rabbit
Toyota Corrola
Mazda RX-7
Volkswagon Beetle
Mitsubishi Eclipse
Saab 9-3 (current)
My 9-3 had 29k on it when I bought it and has felt the same since, I doubt its worm out.
None have felt like this clutch. Its hard to describe, but it almost feels like some weird leverage ratio that isnt linear. The first top 4" of travel or so was heavy or actually normally to me. Then the leverage changes and you kinda drop to the floor with hardly any pressure. As you let it up to engage, the drag point comes in right at the point of leverage change and it sorta pushes itself back into your foot unless you consciously apply more pressure towards the top of its travel. If it truly was designed this way, its hardly indicative of a "drivers" car. To me, and of course this is my opinion, I believe that a "drivers" car is one that gives more feedback to the driver than less in the sake of comfort. All these nifty "enhancements" like throttle by wire, light hydro clutches, over assisted steering only distract from the true driving experience and adds a vague generic feel.
