I have the sharper image at home and work. (special price on 2) At home I clean it about every week, and every other week at work. At home it picks up general dust and cat dander and makes the air a little fresher by removing cooking odors. For example garlic odors go away in less than a day compared to 2+ days without the air cleaner. We have hot water baseboard heat instead of forced air heat due to allergies.

At work, it removes odors that gas out of the carpeting. I have pretty bad allergies and find these air cleaners quite helpful.

I clean it more often in the summer as it picks up pollen from the windows being open.
