. . . me, too! My list of Saabs, in order have been:
'70 95 Wagon; V-4
'78 99 EMS
'86 900 hatch (8 valve)
'94 900 SE
'99 9-3 SE Current
Though each has originally seemed more" luxurious" and less utilitarian that the former, each has done well. My only disappointment was the '94 with the V-6 engine that self-destructed 2 k Miles after the 30 k Mile service. Covered under warranty, I traded it immediately for a Saab 4-cylinder.
They are all rugged, (I drive them as trucks), easy on gas and generally require little maintenance. Like all high tech cars, the maintenance has been getting more expensive.
My '99 has passed 62 k Miles and although a "first year" model , it has had no dsignificant problems.
