Actually the NG900s and 9-3s including the Viggens are doin' real well. My classic '93 900S Vert is holding up wheel with 155k miles. My '95 900S with 92k is solid inside and out, paint and upholstery are outstanding, mechanically perfect too.
The 9-5's come out of a plant remodeled by GM dough to the tune of $750 million with the latest in quality systems and have been outstanding. You won't find any Saab on the Consumers Reports used cars to avoid.
GM has positively impacted the quality of Trollhattan cars by putting up the money for the remodel in 1998. There's five GM cars in the top ten of overall reliability. Buick is right behind Lexus for example. I don't like Buicks, Cads, Chevys, GMCs or Saturns, but GM knowing quality has resulted in Saab moving up to above average, being recomended by consumer magazines and showing very well in JD Powers.
