The reason some corporations can't do it is...

- bureaucracy
- short-sighted thinking looking for return on investment NOW
- difficult-to-change corporate culture

Also, it should be noted that CR IS biased. Look at comparison reports and notice how they word negatively one attribute for one vehicle and positively for another. If you read carefully you'll see it. (I am very sensitive to this as I read it on behalf of Saturn). Their sampling is corrupt because it only pull from subscribers who believe in and follow their reports in the first place.

Also, they may represent the average Joe but they profess that their preferences are the only right way. I always point to the window washers as spraying broadly versus streamed jets. They say the broad spray is better, but I don't find it better, it obstructs my vision. Center window switches? Did they ever criticize them on BMWs? I'm guessing they probably did not, but did so for Saabs and Saturns.
