I really do like all types of music, but these have been my favorites that were the result of a whim, or a friend's random recomendation.

Allman Borthers
(Among Others)

I am one who thinks that its a bloody shame that music is no longer what sells music. These days it seems you have to look good and dance to get a recording contract with the big record companies, and therefore, into mainstream music. But, it is refreshing that you can find really good music (Even if it's sung by ugly people!) if you are willing to look.

Oh well... I do like finding music that I've never heard of too. I'll have to checkout some of the ones mentioned in this thread.
