So today I was driving from Batavia, NY to Buffalo, NY via NYS Thruway. The on-ramp in batavia is one where you first go OVER the thruway, then you "backtrack" in a large circle, then go back under that bridge.

So as I am going over the bridge I see a NYS Trooper in an SUV, light bar etc. So I think to myself.. damn.. now I am going to have to drive "slow" back to buffalo (they usually only go around 75, I like to cruise at around 80).

He is a little ways in head of me now, to the point where I cannot really see him. As I am getting on we have a mid 90s corvette and a maroon grand carivan driving around 75-80. The corvette pulls up behind me (as I am passing people at 75) and decides to be a Jacka55 and tailgate me. So I speed up a tad so I could get over into the right lane, he decides not to pass me.

Bla Bla Bla.....

About 5 miles later he passes me, then the minivan. By this time we are relatively close to the trooper, less than 1/4 mile. So he pulls in infront of me, minivan goes by him, minivan pulls infront of corvette. Corvette then proceeds to pass the minivan and probibly at about 80, starts gaining even further on the trooper.

So this dumbarse gets up to the trooper as if it was a normal car then pulls in to the right lane after he passes the last car. Trooper pretty much locks up his brakes, pulls in behind corvette, pulls him over.

What I want to know is HOW ON EARTH could this guy (in his 50s i would say) be soooooooo STUPID????? I don't know what in his right mind would cause him to do this?

It was OBVIOUS that it was a trooper.. it was clearly marked, and you could SEE the lightbar..

wow.. is all i have to say.. just had to share the story...
