It was parked in the lot at one of the GM offices. I saw it as I was driving past so I pulled into the lot for a closer look. Parked immediately behind it was an extended GMC Envoy, parked across the aisle from it were a TrailBlazer and Buick Ranier.

Impressions:
1) The Merlot Red paint and Beige interior is a beautiful combination, and the interior looks almost as if it were lifted from my 9-5.
2) The 9-7X sits noticeably lower than the Envoy. I am 5'-8" (at least I used to be) and my eyes were level with the roof top of the 9-7X. Stepping to the Envoy, my eye level was a point 2 to 3 inches below the top of the rear window glass.
3) The ugly-a**ed spare tire is fully hidden from view by the rear fascia. This is one of my pet-peeves with the rest of the TrailBlazer line.
4) Contrary to other reports, the 9-7X does not share it's rear quarters with the TrailBlazer and Envoy. Whereas these two have a squared off top rear corner with squared-off rear side glass, the 9-7X's components are slightly rounded and look much nicer, IMHO. The 9-7X shares these parts with the Buick Ranier, but as poorly as Buicks are selling these parts can almost be considered unique to the Saab version.
5) This vehicle was labeled as "Captured Test Fleet", meaning it was a pre-production vehicle being driven for evaluation purposes only. Unfortunately, it will probably be crushed at the end of the evaluation period and not sold as used.
