I guess that if we're going for total accuracy, to demonstrate without a doubt that a Lexus is a totally unreliable bucket of bolts, here is the recall you found:
'99 Lexus RX300
Headlights and taillights may not go on automatically in low-light conditions when switch is set to "auto." Also, in vehicles with two-wheel drive and optional traction-control system, brake hose could fail and make braking action feel unsteady, increasing risk of crash.
Models: 21,846 sport-utility vehicles made 1/98-7/98.
What to do: Have dealer install modified body electronic control unit. On vehicles with traction-control system, have dealer install modified brake hoses.
and last November this for 2004 RX330:
Summary:
CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES MAY BE EQUIPPED WITH AN IMPROPERLY DESIGNED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. A SILICON OXIDE BUILD-UP OCCURS ON THE CONTACTS INSIDE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH, WHICH CAN MAKE IT INOPERABLE.
Consequence:
IF THE SWITCH IS INOPERABLE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE AND CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING DECEMBER 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331.
