Generally Gateways come with two CDs... Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 11 May 2005 14:31:37 In Reply to: Gateway sucks!, Chris, Wed, 11 May 2005 09:42:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
That should have all the software you need on them. I've purchased two Gateways within the last 8 months, and they both came with a red Drivers CD and a Blue Restoration CD (I think). My old Gateway was also similar.
Through experience, I can tell you that Gateway will make it right for you once you get past the index-card-reading-phone support people. I got a wireless mouse/keyboard with my laptop, and the mouse turned out to be defective. I got the new mouse from them, but didn't get a chance to send the broken one back within 15 days, and they didn't complain.
As for the Dell vs Gateway issue below, most of my friends at school have the University-sold Dell computers, but I went with a Gateway instead. All but 3 of my friends have had major issues with the Dells, mainly hard drive issues. A few people even had to get the whole laptop replaced.
Good luck!
