Best way to see San Francisco Posted by Clay McNeely [Email] (#497) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Clay McNeely) on Tue, 5 Jul 2005 13:09:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello, everyone. My better half and I are going to San Francisco later this month and are curious to know about touring options that we may have. There are a lot of sites that sell an Alactraz/San Francisco city tour combination package, which is what we are looking at right now. We could just purchase a city pass, but I don't know how comfortable I would be navigating San Francisco on my own and dealing with the parking headache that everyone speaks of. We're wanting to get lots of great pictures, see all of the "big" sites, and spend some time strolling around a bit.
What would be the best bet for two rural folks like us who would love to see all of the sites and spend some time enjoying the city? Any suggestions as to what we should avoid or where the best place is to buy tickets? We will only have a day or two to take it all in, so that's our reason for wanting to get in as much as we can without being rushed.
On a similar note, any suggestions for must-see places along the Bay area (Napa to Carmel) are greatly appreciated and welcome. We would love to try some great restaurants while we are in Windsor for the week (fyi...we don't drink). In other words, we are new to the San Francisco treat and would love to hear some ideas and suggestions. For more information regarding our trip, please feel free to post any questions or responses. Thanks in advance. Drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
