my experience is anecdotal... but real... In a dirt parking lot in NH after a deep snowfall, two trucks didn't make it out after serious trys. The Saab made it to the street in one try and not because they had made any kind of a path. I attribute it to the gislaveds and the front wheel drive and, to me, it seemed the 1985 900 had a somewhat higher clearance for a car, but that could be a mistake. Anyway, I pulled out and headed down to MA to see my girlfriend. Hardly anyone on the highway. Once down in MA, girlfriends lot was undercover and one smaller truck was sitting abandoned after an attempt to leave. She had gislaveds on a 1983 900 Turbo and really had an even easier time driving right out. Anecdotal data is very limited data, but since 1988, I've heard well over a thousand similar stories.
