OT Best place to buy insulation?

I'm having a hard time finding prices on insulation. I'd like to avoid Home Cheapo if I could. Price is important for insulation as the projects get bigger.
Anybody know of a good place to get insulation? All I've seen is $20 for 20 feet of faced R30.
I'm going to insulate the roof panels of my attic in an effort to keep from getting ice dams. Yes, I plan on also keeping the attic ventilated too.
I have already fixed the attic floor insulation and the soffit vents but I do not want to chance it and do not want to rely on the attic fan.
I know that insulating the roof panels will keep the roof panels cold enough to not melt the snow and cause ice dams. I did one section as a test last year.
The big question is; Use traditional insulation with vapor barrier or use an insulating radiant barrier instead. I know that the insulation will work but I would rather use the insulating radiant barrier if I could.
I am on the fence because the radiant barriers are much better at keeping heat from coming down rather than up (convection vs radiation) and the R value of the insulating radiant barrier such as Reflectix is not large.
Any input here? If I use the insulating radiant barrier, I can get it online, spend less money, have an easier install, and have a cooler attic in the summer as an added bonus. I have no proof that it will work however.
