I have a 3 family and was weighing the costs of oil this year. I currently pay heat for all 3 units (oil), small units though, so it costs me about $200 / month last year. This year, it will probabaly be more like $250 / month. My option is to switch to natural gas to the tune of $5000 or so (i would install 3 furnaces), my tenants would each pay their own heat, and I would probabaly be left with like $70 a month or so on average. Doing that math, however, it would take 2.5 years to make back the cost.
Somehow, though, I just don't see the cost of oil ever going back down.
