AlexA,
Klipsch makes speakers that can last a very long time. Many speaker manufacturers do. I used to own a pair of Heresy IIs and KG2 that was part of my home theater for over ten years. Klipsch in general do not need very much power to play loud. What you will see in other forums is that the horn design in general will sound closed in as if the sound was "cupped" between your hands when you are shouting at someone. Also, people will mention to you that horns tend to be piercing with the highs and are fatiguing over long listening periods. I didn't realize any of these issues to be the case when I owned the Klipsch speakers. I only realized these issues fairly recently when I started a new home theater and used Martin Logan and Magnepan speakers. I would say buy what you like and don't worry so much what others say. You will be the one that has to buy and enjoy the speakers. Audiophile opinions can vary greatly due to the price range speakers now have. If you like them, buy them, Klipsch is a quality manufacturer of speakers.
