Training cats is hard to do but when my '86 900 SPG was new, there was a feral cat that kept getting on my car. It "mounted" the car by first jumping on a bumper. What I did: using a piece of 1/8" door skin, I cut two long rectangles the width of the bumpers and a couple inches deeper - one for the front & one for the back. I laid the skins on the bumpers and then placed a cardboard tube on the plywood next to the grill and trunk. When the cat tried to get onto the car, it tipped the skin and the tube rolled off, making a rattling sound as it hit the ground. This scared the holy s--- out of the cat who went flying over a fence. Didn't hurt the car or the cat and It only took one time.
