OT: recovering data from drive after format Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Tue, 14 Feb 2006 16:28:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Is it possible? Not holding out too much hope, but you never know. I was installing a new hard drive and reinstalling windows on my parents' computer, and I somehow ended up without the e-mail data. I copied it over from the old hard drive, but I guess outlook express wrote over it with empty files. Having thought I'd got everything off the old drive, and because it was filled with bugs and viruses, I formatted the old drive. If it's not possible to recover from the old drive, how about from the new drive? I imagine the data is still there, just the filename is pointing at something else.
