In this World there are people who are strong. There are people who are weak. There are people who are somewhere in the middle. It is the people in the middle who need direction. To be a good person, one must not just resist temptation. One must also act in a manner that does not create temptation for those who are at a crossroads in their life. If you create that temptation, and by doing so you lead the other person down the wrong path, are you not also to blame? And if you knowingly create temptation, who's misdeed is greater? Who then is really more deserving of punishment?
Riteousness is not just about personal behavior. It is also about setting the stage for others to act properly too.
