I have been looking for a 1/4" drive torque wrench for a long time. I'd like to get a beam type. I am tired of guessing the low setting using my 3/8" drive one.
I have three torque wrenches. The first one is 1/2" drive beam type craftsman I bought more than 20 years ago. Very reliable and quite beaten up but still very good. The second one is a cheap 3/8" drive no brand name. It wasn't used much because it is not accurate, which is why I bought another craftsman 3/8" click type, also years ago. The 3/8" drive craftsman is also good.
The second torque wrench I bought led me to shy away from all those cheap torque wrenches I know would just waste my money. Yet I am still cheap enough to not pull the trigger to get a snap-on or Mac tool.
Suggestions? I went to Sears recently. I don't remember seeing a 1/4" torque wrench.
