Forget sensitivity and relocation. You need to kill the gopher and the only thing that worked for me was a single, $7.99 spring-loaded trap from Lowes. Low tech, deadly, and effective.
My gopher turned my yard into Swiss cheese and ate all my wife's best roses (a discriminating palate, no doubt). Hard to believe a rodent the size of a can of Coke could do so much damage.
At my wife's request, I initially went the soft route with expensive ultrasound devices and sprays, etc. but the Caddyshack life got to me so I decided to kill it. Forget poison pellets -- they don't work, and I worried about my kids digging some up.
Went back afterwards and tried to find as much of the gopher's extensive tunnel network as possible to destroy it. The backyard is surrounded by a cinderblock wall and I didn't want a rattlesnake on a rodent hunt using it as a freeway to my backyard where the kids play.
