How old are you? For one thing, a woman's strength is often in the field of subtlety and perceptions - sensing, emotions, and the L word. That's also the seat of their charm and appeal to men. While they may not know or care a wit about mechanical things, they often know a lot about how to make men happy. Or miserable, depending on her mood or maturity. Women certainly can learn how to think more like men, and perform traditional "manly" skills (I fixed helicopters in the military with several women mechanics). Depends on how open or willing they are to develop those insights. Some women look at guy stuff like men think about traditional women's chores - shopping, housekeeping, clothes, hair, childrearing, cooking. Not many men embrace being Mr Mom. From her perspective, it would be "unwomanly" for her to be seen working on a car. I have a close woman friend here in LA that grew up in a mostly traditional family, where she was only taught "girl" stuff. A graduate of USC with a degree in journalism, she's a wonderful housekeeper and mother to her little girl, but knows nothing about car maintenance other than to bring it in regularly for oil changes and so forth. At the same time, she's one of the best and ballsiest driver's I've ever known. She's fallen off a bicycle quite a few times, but get her behind the wheel in a car with a manual transmission, an engine with bang, a tight suspension with good brakes, a road with hairpin turns and steep hills, and she's actually quite gifted. Is she stupid cuz she can't ride a bike or change her car's oil? I wouldn't say that. Hope this has been some help.
