I have not had good luck with the claratin or like slow release products either. It seems to be too weak (perhaps so it will last the 24 hours)
Psuedoephedrine based generic OTC work best for me.Unfortunately due to their popularity as a meth ingredient, they are behind the counter and less product is in stock now.
I've had good luck with Nasalcrom as well. Used to use when it was prescription and it's OTC now. Works same-day for me.
AlexA should visit an allergist too. Good way to figure out all the things one is allergic too. Some things you can avoid, others you cant. It's good to know what might be causing the symptoms. Allergies are a legit excuse for me to avoid lawnmowing, weekwacking, dusting, and vacuuming.
