How accurate is J.D. Power???? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 13 Jun 2006 05:32:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I know this is the current "yard stick" used by all manufacturers but each year I find things that cause me to distrust it more and more. The latest results are no exception:
1) Hyundai beats Toyota - no additional comment necessary
2) Saab 9-3 is rated "Worst In Class" for Entry Level Premium cars
3) Saab 9-5 is not rated
4) Saab 9-2X is not rated
5) Isuzu Hombre is rated "Worst in Class" for Mid-sized Pick-up Trucks, yet the Chevrolet Colorado (effectively the same truck built in the same plant) has two "Best In Class" sub-category wins. The GMC Canyon (the third triplet) is rated between the Colorado and Hombre, and none are close to each other
I thnk we have a survey based entirely on subjective opinion, masquerading as an objective tool. End of rant.
