Colorado here, where the weather sounds similar; snow one day, then sunny and dry the next. I've got three sets, but it's sort by accident.
For summer, spring and fall I run Pirelli PZero Neroes... they're an all season geared more towards fair weather than snow. During the winter, I use Michelin Pilot Artic Alpin Sports.. high performance snow tire that also does quite well on the dry roads; I've used this brand 6 years now and love them. I don't like the PZero's (it doesn't do anything real good), so I'll find a good summer tire on my next round...
My third set is the oddball, but suprising... I had one of the PZero's get trashed during mounting, and the local track shut down, so I've been running all summer Michelin Pilot Sport Cup DOT racing tires instead of letting them rot in a corner. I had planned on buying a replacement PZero once the track tires wear down, but they look like they'll easily make it through the rest of the summer and into next summer. I've got a couple track days and 5k+ street/highway miles on them so far, but boy do they highlight the Viggens poor steering issues... I'm contemplating continuing to use these for summer tires on my next set since they're doing so well.
