The preliminary instructions I found is to suck it down to 29 mm Hg (or what the pump will bring it to and shut the pump to wait for 30 minutes to see if it holds vaccum. At least that part I do know. Naturally if it won't hold vaccum it won't hold charge. The amount of oil and type are make specific. That I also know. What I am not clear is do I start the engine midway through the charging process ot leave it off completely during the charge?
