This is such a cool deal that I had to run the math quickly. Don't even bother trying unless you have a vehicle with 500,000 miles on it already! Darn.
Cheers, Derek / 1994 900 S V6 170,000mi / 2002 9-5 Linear sedan 70,000mi
If I didn't make a mistake with the math (email me for the spreadsheet):
FINANCIAL COST
33333 gallons, assuming 30 mpg
$76,667 total cost if $2.30 per gallon average
+
16.7 sets of tires if 60,000 miles per set
$6,667 total cost at $400 per set
+
133.3 oil changes at 7500 miles per change (full synthetic oil)
$6,667 total cost at $50 per change
=
$90,000 total cost gas + tires + oil
TIME
16667 hours, assuming 60 mph average speed
=
694 days (24 hours per day driving time)
or 1.9 years
OR
1389 days (12 hours per day driving time)
or 3.8 years
OR
2083 days (8 hours of driving)
or 5.7 years
