On Monday I painted over the block basement walls in my 1929 house. I used this product by Zinsser - Mold and Mildow proof water proofing paint - that is supposed to keep out water and I am sure is available at most places that sell paint. It used a brush and it took about 3 hours to use up one gallon. It is very thick. It is low oder but I would open a window as the paint contains portland cement and other bad things. It left a very nice very white finish. Happy so far. They sell other less caustic products for basement walls if water is not a problem.
