It's not age that fatigues the metal but use. The frames I've seen crack are either premature failure (bad luck like Saabpilot), took a serious hit, or have been used day in and day out by hardcore mountain bike guys, usually heftier guys on tough terrain.
I wouldn’t worry about your frame at all, but if you’re concerned then check for cracks where the tubes join. You will usually see cracks in the metal/paint long before a catastrophic failure. I had a ’95 Cannondale that I had since new and was still in great shape. It’s frame cracked recently, but only because it was on a bike rack on the front of a bus and became the filler in a car-bus sandwich when the bus t-boned a car. I guess that falls under the bad luck category!
